Daniel Patrick Griffin was born on July 2, 1997 in Kensington & Chelsea, London, England in the United Kingdom to his parents. His family, which include his sisters, moved to Cornwall, where Danny grew up. He learned how to ride horses at age 11 and spent time rummaging through their fancy dress box with his sisters and would put on their own plays. Danny loved escaping from the real world because he felt it was boring. In school, he played the character Bill Sykes in Oliver. Danny attended Berkshire Theatre School to study acting and ended up moving back to London at the age of 17 to pursue an acting career. In 2015, Danny joined the cast of The Railway Children, which was a staple at King’s Cross Theatre when it debuted in 2014 and continued to be extended through early 2017.

Danny made his television debut playing the role of Danny in an episode of the Netflix series “Free Rein” in 2017. The next year, he would make his film debut playing Maciej in the holiday comedy Surviving Christmas With the Relatives, a film following two sisters and their families spend Christmas at their late parents’ dilapidated country house. In 2019, Danny would make an appearance on the television show “So Awkward” as Hunter Phillips before booking a small part in Guy Ritchie’s crime comedy The Gentlemen where he played Aslan. In an interview with the Evening Standard, he expressed that being on the set of the film, and being around seasoned actors, was incredible and he was “just happy to be on that set; I didn’t care if I was Extra Number 1 with my three lines, one of which we can count as screaming.” He went on to comment on his interaction with Hugh Grant: “I’m still just lying there on the floor when Hugh walks over and goes: ‘I thought you were very good, a little bit wooden for my taste though’, and then buggers off laughing. That’s all I get from the master that is Hugh Grant.”

Danny next had a small recurring role on the BBC/Netflix series “Get Even” playing the role of Shane, a mysterious musician who gets involved with one of the four girls part of a secret society at the school they attend. He would book his next role, which would become his official breakout role, for the Netflix series “Fate: The Winx Saga”, a live-action adaption of the Nickelodeon animated series “Winx Club”. Danny plays Sky, a warrior-in-training, who falls into a love-triangle while continuing to learn about himself and if he would live up to his father’s legacy. The series premiered on the streaming service on January 22, 2021 and would be renewed for a second season only a month later.

Danny enjoys riding horses and training in parkour in his free time. He also loves fashion and expresses himself by how he dresses.

He is signed with IMG Modeling Agency, as well as Simon & How Talent Agency.
